M/I Homes, one of the nation’s leading builders of new construction homes, has made the transition to the KnowledgeLake Cloud – the only end-to-end, fully cloud-native solution that enables organizations to capture, process and manage their documents in a single platform. Since moving to the KnowledgeLake Cloud, M/I Homes has been able to reclaim productivity lost to manual processes.

“KnowledgeLake gives us the opportunity to automate document classification in solutions where we were previously limited,” says LaKisha Randle, Business Systems Analyst at M/I Homes. “We use KnowledgeLake to upload contract and insurance documents required to onboard vendors and subcontractors. With KnowledgeLake, these documents are classified more efficiently.”

In addition to using the KnowledgeLake Cloud to quickly classify and upload documents, M/I Homes relies on its search feature to easily locate documents using targeted metadata searching. KnowledgeLake Cloud Search has been especially useful in M/I Homes’ land contract management, where it has reduced data used and employee time spent searching for documents. “Before KnowledgeLake, our paralegals were maintaining the signed PDF version and a Microsoft Word version for search,” says Randle.
