KnowledgeLake Continues to Advance the Capabilities of Capture Solution for Microsoft SharePoint

Tightly integrated with Microsoft SharePoint, KnowledgeLake Capture enables end users to easily scan and index documents and store them in the appropriate SharePoint repository. A few of the new developments added to the robust solution include the ability to scan and index documents faster, scan multiple batches at a time, added language support and advances to prioritization functionality.

“The latest enhancements to our Capture solution unleash a bounty of business benefits to organizations ranging from small businesses to large enterprises,” said Floyd Bell, director of product management at KnowledgeLake. “We have added impressive new capabilities that allow our customers to efficiently scan and index large quantities of information with improved data intelligence, quality and consistency.”

KnowledgeLake Capture has the familiar look and feel of Microsoft Office software, so users can work within the familiar ribbon bar and application menu of the Office user interface. KnowledgeLake Capture is easy to install and configure, and is a part of KnowledgeLake’s award-winning suite of ECM technologies.

Capture is designed to adapt and grow with the needs of KnowledgeLake customers, as the solution is designed to scale from simple to complex projects and document types. Capture also scales horizontally, making the solution an ideal fit for organizations scanning to and from various countries. Capture’s sophisticated Batch Processing and Monitoring, allow for multiple documents of many different types to be scanned, viewed and indexed efficiently. Improvements to Prioritization abilities now allow users to flag higher priority items to further increase the speed of time-sensitive, business processes.

The document scanning solution includes other valuable features such as, “Point and Shoot” Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality for easy indexing of unstructured documents. OCR technology dramatically reduces the need for manual data entry of critical metadata values, minimizing the likelihood of human error. In addition, Capture’s “folder watching” feature automatically creates batches of new items from multiple sources including multi-function devices and fax machines.
