KnowledgeLake Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary In 2009

KnowledgeLake, Inc., a leading provider of document imaging and capture technologies for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, celebrates its ten year anniversary in 2009. President and co-founder of KnowledgeLake, Ron Cameron, reflected on the last ten years by saying, "Since inception KnowledgeLake has always been a very fun, busy and creative place to be. Our people are our company's most valuable asset and are definitely the key to our success so far. Great technology is created only by great people."

Good news and success stories are hard to come by these days. But for KnowledgeLake, there is great achievement and optimism for the future. In 2008, KnowledgeLake exceeded its growth expectations and doubled its sales revenue. This growth is attributed to KnowledgeLake's Document Imaging and Capture product suite built specifically for the rapidly expanding Microsoft SharePoint ECM market and also the customer demand of having solutions built on a low cost, and truly open platform. A KnowledgeLake solution typically costs one half of comparable legacy ECM vendor solutions. This winning combination helped 182 new companies to reduce costs in 2008 by providing a SharePoint ECM solution to better manage their documents.

The difficulty economy has actually helped fuel the growth, because so many customers are looking to reduce costs. In addition, the success of Microsoft SharePoint specifically in the ECM segment has launched KnowledgeLake into a very good position with its Document Imaging and Workflow solutions. KnowledgeLake has recently added over 100 partners in 30 states and 12 countries and its products are now shipping in 11 languages. In addition, KnowledgeLake doubled the size of its US based sales force in the last 12 months with plans to double again in 2009.

"The sales success of KnowledgeLake is driven by the fact that we have a simple solution that creates easily measurable savings in any size company. It's easy to understand, easy to buy and easy to deploy for both partners and customers. Customers who see it just want it. We also feel that our success is also due to our deep partnership with Microsoft. Microsoft is projecting that SharePoint sales should exceed $1.4B this year. We're looking forward to helping many more customers save money and create efficiency by helping them better manage their documents," said Bob Bueltmann, Vice President of Business Development and co-founder of KnowledgeLake, Inc.

Global leader Fujitsu, an exclusive partner of KnowledgeLake, bundles KnowledgeLake Connect with the entire line of Fujitsu scanners and KnowledgeLake integrates its KnowledgeLake Capture product with the Fujitsu fi-6010N iScanner. KnowledgeLake is projecting significant growth again this year as its partnerships continue to grow worldwide with Microsoft and Fujitsu.
