The Ariens Company manufactures outdoor power equipment made for consumers and professionals. Their finely crafted machines can be found globally within a large network of power equipment dealers, farm retailers and national retailers. When the privately-owned and operated company needed a unified ECM solution that could accommodate different business units and brands, they turned to KnowledgeLake.

The Challenge

Due to the high volume of incoming and outgoing accounts receivables and accounts payables, the international company realized a need for a consistent processing procedure while reducing related costs.

The family-owned company, now in its fourth-generation, also sought to streamline many of their existing internal processes to enable collaboration between various departments.

Since Ariens Company’s employees tend to be Microsoft users, the company wanted solutions to complement their SharePoint and Dynamics AX platforms.

The Solution

During its evaluation for possible solutions, Ariens focused on technologies that could integrate seamlessly with the many Microsoft products that Ariens uses, including the Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft SharePoint technologies, Windows Server 2003, and Microsoft SQL Server database software. It considered a number of different options but decided on a KnowledgeLake ECM solution.
