New and enhanced Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) features fall within three areas:
- Document management – Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 delivers enhanced authoring, business document processing, Web content management and publishing, records management, policy management, and support for multilingual publishing.
- Records management – a new set of features for creating and supporting formal records management capabilities including policy and auditing, records repository, e-mail content as records and mail management policies.
